nature, your input will help us build a plan that balances nature, culture, and access to recreation. This plan is about more than trails — it's about protecting cultural resources, enhancing wildlife habitat, creating fire resilient landscapes and preserving the character of the backcountry for generations.

With the closure of some parts of the park in 2025 and 2026 due to critical repairs on the Marlette Dam, this plan will serve as a guide for improvements and management of Spooner Lake and Backcountry State Park for the next 20 years.
